Goals for the Fall 2006 Semester
The primary goal of the committee for the Fall 2006 semester is to make new contributions to the campus community while ensuring that our improved organization and increased achievement level will be sustained as current student leaders graduate. This can only be achieved with extensive summer planning, which is well underway. We will make strong early efforts to recruit to the committee approximately four members of the Class of 2010 in September 2006. We will create subcommittees and designate leaders for individual projects, most likely matching up one undergraduate and one non-undergraduate to oversee each large project. Long-term Goals
- Investigate the feasibility of hiring full-time sustainability officers for the University.
- Enhance the current curriculum of the University, exploring the possibility of a graduation requirement in environmental sciences for undergraduate students.
- Become an institution dedicated to continual improvements towards environmental sustainability.
